Bio
Jason T. Tolliver aka T. Willow. Jason, born January 27th, 1985 in Chicago, is one of the Rap industry’s hottest new stars. Currently a senior at Norfolk State University.
Willow has skillfully and effectively combined his athletic skills with his vocal talent and is taking the Rap industry by storm. As an artist and athlete, he’s played organized sports since the age of seven, and has performed before audiences since preschool. After graduating from high school as MVP, his athletic skills found him the recipient of numerous scholarship offers. Taking all benefits into consideration, he accepted a scholarship to attend Norfolk State University, one of the country’s historical Black colleges where he is a member of the men’s track team.
T. Willow began his career performing with the group “Z-gang”. Z-gang's buzz allowed them to open for Lil Wayne during a performance in Kentucky. The response was so great, that Lil Wayne invited the group to open for him again in Chicago.
Not to be confined to the limitations of a group, T. Willow ventured out as a solo artist. His style of rhythmic lyrics and his presence as in impressive young man determined to take charge of his life, has already gained attention from industry executives. He’s been interviewed on Chicago’s top radio station, WGCI by DJ Teefa.
His versatile flow and skillful lyrics resulted in him winning the BET college tour freestyle battle tournament…two years in a row! As a result of his success, he was featured on BET’s Rap City countdown.
During his summer break of 2005, he honed his skills, disciplined himself and wrote all of the songs on his debut album “Business Before Pleasure”. It allowed listeners the opportunity to hear his masterful flow of words and rhythm. The album was so successful in creating a buzz for T. Willow, that by his summer break of 2006, he found himself in Atlanta working on his next CD with the production team of Jamahl Rashid and Dmyreo “Reo” Mitchell of Rockhowse Productions, and in August of 2006, T. Willow was added to the roster of entertainers performing at The Virginia Black Expo. In the fall of 2006, he also became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
